Situated about 60 km to the west of Bangalore, the Savandurga hills are one of the most popular destinations for trekking in Bangalore. The Savandurga hills have an elevation of 1,200 metres and comprise of the Billigudda and Karigudda hills. The Billigudda hill is easier for trekking and is hence themore preferred trekking trail.

2. Kunti Betta Trek

4. Ramanagara Trek

The land of Gabbar Singh is covered in granite rocks and boulders. With sparse vegetation peeking out of the topography here and there, this place is reminiscent of Sholay and Gabbar’s tyranny. Situated about 50 km from Bangalore, Ramanagar is one of the few places near Bangalore which is a favourite haunt among those who want to indulge in some adventure activities over the weekend near Bangalore.
Ramanagara offers a terrain that is ideal for trekking, rappelling, cave exploration etc and is hence frequented by nature and adventure enthusiasts throughout the year.

5. Night Trekking in Skandagiri

Those fascinated with night trekking can also head to Skandagiri, an ancient mountain fortress. Located from 70km from Bangalore, the lofty summit overlooks Nandi Hills, Muddenahalli, and Kanivenarayanapura. Also known as Kalavara Durga, the trek to this place is considered challenging but rewarding at the same time.
Atop are a fort dating to 18th century and a temple. This experience is best savoured in the winter months with misty trails, pleasant weather and winsome mornings to rise to.  

6. Bheemeshwari Forest Camp

Want to spend some time in a calm and serene environment? Escape into the woods! The Bheemeshwariforest camp offers great scenic beauty and tranquility. If you are a nature lover, you could indulge in nature walks and spend some peaceful time exploring and sightseeing in the forest.
